Vasileios Tselios

Biography

Vasileios is a recent graduate of the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College joint Digital Journalism program.

During his studies, he received the Meta scholarship for a series of stories on the arts and culture scene of Ottawa, that were published during his tenure with Apt613. In 2025, Vasileios became a reporter and the editor-in-chief for his school paper, the Algonquin Times. His work at both publications informed his understanding of reporting and serving smaller communities through journalism.

Recently, he interned with the CBC’s News Network, giving him a chance to produce journalistic content for a national audience. Vasileios is interested in researching the journalistic responsibility to ethically cover under-represented communities, the public interest in the 21st century, and future business models for journalistic publications.
