The nature of discussing language through using language has always been fascinating to me, doubly so since I obtained my TESL certification and worked with students interested in English as an additional language. This interest compounded after I turned a critical eye to my own limitations and strengths as both a teacher and student, which lead me to Carleton’s ALDS program, which addressed multiple aspects of my curiosity.
