- Working Papers of the Linguistics Circle of the University of Victoria (WPLC) | Submissions from students and faculty are invited for WPLC Volume 35. Student submissions should be accompanied by an email from a supervising professor indicating that the material is of publishable quality. Supervising professors must directly email WPLC at uvicwplc@gmail.com. This is a general call for submissions from any area related to linguistics, including theoretical linguistics, applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, community work and advocacy for promotion of language, language revitalization, or interdisciplinary research that connects language to other fields of study. Submissions are due by 11:59 (Pacific) on May 22, 2026.
- International Association of Applied Linguistics (AILA 2027) World Congress | The Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics (ACLA) will host AILA 2027 World Congress in Vancouver, Canada August 9 – 13, 2027.
Submissions are invited for AILA 2027. Submissions are due June 30, 2026.
