Placement Opportunities

We offer placements in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) and in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), where students gain meaningful experience collaborating with professionals, supporting diverse learners, and applying classroom knowledge to their practice. These opportunities prepare students to make a lasting impact.

Speech-Language Pathology

LING 4604 is a one-semester field placement course that allows students to pursue personal learning objectives related to the clinical application of research in psycholinguistics, communication differences and disabilities, and language development. The course is worth 0.5 credits and counts toward the requirements of the Linguistics major.

IMPORTANT

All students interested in taking LING 4604 must submit an application. International students are also required to have a valid work permit. Please make sure to touch base with the practicum coordinator for more information on this process.
