After teaching English in South Korea for over seven years, I knew that the study of second language acquisition would be my career. I am a curious person by nature, and teaching provided a way that I could not only continue to learn but also guide others in their English language learning. Because I am a teacher at heart, I am most focused on areas that explore the interplay between theory and classroom practice. As such, my dissertation topic explores the relationship between a teachers’ provision of oral corrective feedback and their students’ willingness to communicate in the ESL classroom.
