Current Program: MA in ALDS
Nearly ten years ago I completed CTESL at Carleton. Since then I’ve taught technical writing and business writing to professionals, and I’ve taught literacy and English as an additional language to adult language learners. Recently, as we’ve watched COVID grow and be contained, we have also seen extensive communication about COVID information spread around the world. These messages communicate scientific, social and political ideas and are meant to persuade. Only some of the communications are reliable. My goal is to study the discourse of information, disinformation and conspiracy theories.
Area(s) of Interest:
