Summer Jobs @ Ontario Parks 2023

March 22, 2023 at 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM

Who this is for: Open to all students interested in summer employment with Ontario Parks
What you will get out of it: Learn about the variety of career opportunities with Ontario Parks

Love spending time outside? Passionate about protecting nature? Want to spend your summer making the world a better place?

Each year, thousands of students help protect, conserve, and serve Ontario Parks for the wildlife, the habitats they live in, and the millions of people who visit parks each year.

Every park requires a team effort to ensure parks become a better place for fantastic opportunities to view wildlife and connect with nature. These experiences would not be if it weren’t for the students that work at Ontario Parks each year. Most of the summer student positions fall under “Student – Park Ranger,” but there are lots of different types of park ranger (examples include administrative assistant, discovery ranger, interior ranger, trail maintenance, and more – please note that some positions vary by location).

These jobs may be for you if you:

  • Love spending time in nature
  • Care about biodiversity and environmental protection
  • Seek a sense of community
  • Love to learn
  • Care about making people happy and healthy

Ontario Parks is committed to building a workforce that reflects the communities it serves and to promoting a diverse, anti-racist, inclusive, accessible, merit-based, respectful, and equitable workplace. All interested individuals are invited to apply and they encourage applications from people with disabilities, Indigenous, Black, and racialized individuals, as well as people from a diversity of ethnic and cultural origins, sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.

Come work at Ontario Parks and help make important contributions to the protection of Ontario’s stunning natural environments!
