ESP Workshop Facilitator, Ann Morneau wins 1st place in Carleton’s 3-Minute Thesis Competition!
Ann Morneau, an avid knitter, decided to pursue research on men who knit after reading an article about men’s knitting being “the new yoga.” She interviewed 15 men about their experiences with knitting and has a lot to say about men who engage in a stereotypically “female” activity. Ann has won $1000 prize money for 1st place and an additional $250 as she also won the People’s Choice Award. She will also have all expenses paid to travel to London, Ontario to complete at the Provincial 3MT competition at Western University on April 23, 2015.
Ann is a graduate student in the department of Women’s and Gender Studies and her thesis is entitled Knitting Takes Balls.
