Matthew Poulter

Matthew Poulter is a PhD candidate in the Communication and Culture program at York University, Toronto. His doctoral research focuses on depictions of weaponized sexuality in Japanese popular culture, and his publications include studies on Japanese media, gaming, comics, and fandoms and fan cultures.
He has previously completed both his Bachelor’s Degree and Masters in Film Studies at Carleton University.
