Students from Professor Paul Williams class, GEOG 4021, will be presenting their class project this Wednesday morning (December 2nd) at 9:45 in Loeb A220.
The class project this term has been an analysis of aspects of the changing cultural landscapes of the area around the Chaudiere Falls: including the islands; the former E.B. Eddy/ Domtar paper mill complex; NCC property; and Hydro facilities. As most of you know, portions of this area have been slated for development as the new Zibi multi-use complex. It is also an area that is part of the local Anishinabe territory and current development plans have been challenged by the First Nations peoples.
The GEOG 4021 class project has been designed, organized and prepared by the students themselves. The presentation consists of a series of panels/ posters – with historical images, maps and axiometric drawings. The students will be briefly discussing the details of their work.
