El Viejo Topo in Barcelona recently published Inessa Armand: Revolucionaria y feminist, a translation of Distinguished Research Professor Carter Elwood‘s biography of Armand (Inessa Armand: Revolutionary and Feminist) originally published by Cambridge University Press in 1992 (paperback 2002).  The translation even includes as a postscript an article which appeared in the Canadian Slavonic Papers in 2001 in which {Prof. Elwood admitted he was mistaken about Armand’s relations with V.I. Lenin.

Prof. Elwood has also provided the History Department with a signed copy of Inessa Armand: Revolucionaria y feminist for the lobby display. More information about Prof. Elwood, particularly his life at Carleton University can be found online through ARC.
