Description of Research
In my undergrad, I focused on Medieval England and Scotland, as well as Early Modern England, with a particular interest in gender, sexuality, and identity construction. My honours thesis focused on Masculinity in Medieval Scotland, using Royal Seals as my primary source, sigillography being another academic interest of mine. Currently I am interested in local and regional identity formation, memory, nostalgia, and place, with a specific focus on Newfoundland Folk Music, and its revival. This project is being supervised by Dr. John Walsh.
