What is your favourite thing about the program?

My favourite thing about studying at Carleton University was the opportunities that the MA program provided me. I was able to travel to Germany for research, gain experience at Library and Archives Canada, as well as co-chair the Underhill Graduate Student Colloquium.

What will you miss the most?

I will miss the camaraderie of the graduate student cohort. My friends from the Master’s and Doctoral programs were instrumental in helping me finish this degree in both an academic and social sense.

What is your favourite reading/book/text from the program?

I can’t just chose one text since there were so many that I enjoyed. However, I can say that overall I was the most intellectually stimulated by the course readings and discussions for Dr. Susan Whitney’s “Women, Gender & Sexuality” class.

What’s next for you?

I am planning to utilize the skills that I learned during this degree to work for a couple of years while I decide if I want to continue my education with a doctorate or if I enjoy putting my historical skills to use in the workforce.
