Supplemental Drug/Dental Plan For New Students

If you are a new student for Winter 2021 and coming to Canada, you must opt-in to the supplemental drug/dental plan as enrollment is not automatic. As such, you are required to review the undergraduate or graduate plan details to ensure you receive coverage. Opt-in deadline dates do apply. Contact your student association for more details.

Taking Online Classes from Outside Canada for Fall 2020 and/or Winter 2021?

The University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) is mandatory of all international students studying in Canada (online or in-person). If you are studying outside of Canada, you are not required to be enrolled in UHIP. Complete the UHIP opt-out form on the ISSO website. Kindly recall that if you plan to travel to Canada at any point during the Winter 2021 term, you should contact the ISSO for details about how to re-enroll at isso@carleton.ca.
