The Richard J. Van Loon Scholarship, valued at $5,000 for the 2021-2022 academic year, is awarded annually to an outstanding international student from an African country. The award was endowed in 2005 in honour of Carleton University’s 10th President: Richard Van Loon. This year, two scholarships will be awarded.
Eligible recipients will be full-time undergraduate or graduate students proceeding from one year to another in any program of study at Carleton University. Recipients must have a valid Study Permit for Canada. Consideration will be given to students in financial need.
