On October 22nd, four faculty members from the School of Mathematics and Statistics participated in Carleton University’s Fall Open House. At our information booth, Ahmed Almaskut and Brett Stevens interacted with a steady stream of prospective students and their parents, answering a wide variety of questions. Afterward, Wayne Horn and Lucy Campbell gave presentations to provide detailed information on our degree programs, courses, co-op opportunities, job prospects, and supportive culture. As with the information booth, the presentations created a lively and interactive atmosphere; 15-20 people were present at each presentation, many of whom asked follow-up questions. During the first morning presentation, all four faculty members were present and able to answer questions which created a nice dynamic.  After the presentation, one parent said “Well, you sold me!”. Both Lucy and Wayne received follow-up emails from the attendees who were eager to learn more about our programs.
