Political Science Distinguished Research Professor Cristina Rojas is being recognized at the International Studies Association (ISA) -Global International Relations Section (GIRS) Distinguished Scholar Panel and reception honoring Barry Buzan, Cristina Rojas, and Shiping Tang.
“Cristina Rojas has pioneered research on political ontology, indigeneity, peace, and citizenship studies. Her contributions to the subject of decolonial theories, contested citizenship perceptions, and struggles for justice in and from the global south has been widely praised internationally. Her 2014 book Narratives and Imaginaries of Citizenship in Latin America (co- edited with Judy Meltzer) opened novel perspectives on contested universals in and from the global south across a range of Political Science sub-disciplines.”
