Uğur Yıldız is an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Relations, Aksaray University. His teaching and research lie at the intersection of migration, citizenship, and political theory. He received his BA in Political Science from Bilkent University, Ankara and his MA in International Relations from Koç University, Istanbul. Yıldız completed his PhD in Political Science at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, focusing on transnational migration. His research focuses on forced migration and asylum trajectories, and his book titled Tracing Asylum Journeys was published by Routledge in 2020.
