Student Opportunity: Apply to the AI4Good Lab!

AI4Good Lab is accepting applications for the 2022 AI4Good Lab cohort!
Our 7-week machine learning (ML) training program provides education, mentorship, and hands-on project experience to women and people whose genders are underrepresented in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) industry.

- January 15th to February 15th
- Program dates:
- May 2nd to June 21st, 2022
- Cost:
- We charge no tuition fees ($75 registration fee for accepted applicants only)
- Stipend:
- Every participant receives a stipend of minimum $500
- Location:
- Virtual with possibility of in-person opportunities in Montreal, Edmonton, and/or Toronto
Eligibility:
- Women and gender minorities (2SLGBTQ+ inclusive)
- Valid status to study or work in Canada
- Registered at a post-secondary institution or have recently graduated
- Strong math background, some Python programming experience
- No machine learning experience necessary!
Program summary:
- 4-week machine learning bootcamp with lectures from Canadian AI researchers including Dr. Doina Precup
- Speaker series from top industry professionals, ML researchers, and social good leaders
- 3-week development of ML projects for social good. Participants work in teams and receive mentorship from AI experts

The Lab was founded in Montreal by Dr. Doina Precup and Angelique Manella and has been running since 2017. We are hosted in partnership with CIFAR, the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute, and OSMO.
