Notice to 51xx Wing Occupants
Herzberg Building – 5th Floor Mechanical & Electrical Upgrades (Occupant Preparation Notice)
As part of the upcoming Herzberg 5th Floor Mechanical & Electrical Upgrades, construction work will soon begin in your area.
To facilitate this work, all furniture and office contents will be temporarily removed from individual offices. These items will be relocated to an off-site storage facility for the duration of the construction period and returned once work is complete.
Key Dates

Week of April 20:

Pre-work will commence in the 4th and 5th floor mechanical rooms. There will be periodic minimal noise isolated to these areas.

Removal of hallway bulletin boards, pictures and fixtures

April 27: Deadline for all offices to be fully packed and prepared for the move

Beginning April 27: Office contents move (over a five-day period)
Occupant Responsibilities & Requirements

Occupants are responsible for packing the contents of their own offices.

Please ensure your office is fully packed and ready by Monday, April 27.

All items will be stored off-site and will not be accessible during the storage period.

All file cabinets must be completely emptied prior to the move.

Offices and rooms must be fully cleared; no items are to be left behind.

All wall-mounted items (e.g., posters, pictures, decorations) must be removed in advance.

Please remove all posters, pictures, and similar items from the hallways.

All items must be securely packed in boxes or bins in good condition.

Boxes must be clearly labeled with the room number and name. Labels will be provided to each office or room by the moving company.

Loose items will not be moved; all contents must be properly packed.
Important Notes

Boxes handled by movers must not contain personal items. No responsibility will be assumed for loss or damage to personal belongings.

Items such as couches, IKEA furniture, personal tables, chairs, etc., may be placed in storage; however, no responsibility will be assumed for any loss or damage.

If you have concerns about these items, you are encouraged to make your own arrangements for their removal and storage, as replacements will not be provided if damaged during this project.

All rooms will be freshly painted following the move.
