COMP 5905 - Scheduling an MCS Cybersecurity Specialization Thesis Defence

Note: This form is to be completed for students who are in Master's of Computer Science, Cybersecurity Specialization. The MCS Thesis must be in an area of Cybersecurity.

This form is to be completed by the thesis supervisor and must be submitted at least 3 weeks before the defence.

  • Committee Members

  • The thesis supervisor is responsible for CONTACTING and CONFIRMING the committee members.

    Please note:
    • Defence committee members must have OCICS membership. Justification is required for committee members who are not OCICS members.
    • Instructors are generally not eligible to serve on a defence committee. If an instructor is selected, justification is required.
  • Defence Scheduling

  • The thesis supervisor is responsible for confirming that all members are available for this date/time.

  • Once the SCS Graduate Director and Prof. Alex Wilner approve this defence, a Grad Advisor will send a confirming email to the entire committee with the defence details.
