COMP 5905 - Scheduling an MCS Thesis Defence

This form is to be completed by the thesis supervisor and must be submitted at least 3 weeks before the defence.

Disclaimer: If you do not receive an automated submission confirmation of this form, your submission has NOT been submitted and you must submit the form again.

  • Committee Members

  • The thesis supervisor is responsible for CONTACTING and CONFIRMING the committee members.

    Please note:
    • Defence committee members must have OCICS membership. Justification is required for committee members who are not OCICS members.
    • Instructors are generally not eligible to serve on a defence committee. If an instructor is selected, justification is required.
  • Defence Scheduling

  • The thesis supervisor is responsible for confirming that all members are available for this date/time.

  • Once the Graduate Director approves this defence, a Grad Advisor will send a confirming email to the entire committee with the defence details.
