Call for Committee Nominations – Faculty members
The Carleton University Senate is calling for nominations for faculty members to serve on a variety of Senate Standing Committees for the 2026-27 academic year. The deadline to apply is April 3rd.
- Senate Executive Committee
- 1 vacancy – faculty member must be serving on Senate
- Senate Quality Assurance and Planning Committee
- Note that the committee meets on Thursday mornings, twice per month.
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Sprott
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from FASS
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Science
- 2 vacancies for faculty member from Public & Global Affairs
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Engineering & Design
- Senate Academic Governance Committee
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Science
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from any Faculty
- Senate Committee on Student Awards
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Sprott
- Senate Honorary Degrees Committee
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Sprott
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Science
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Public & Global Affairs
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from FASS
- Senate Academic Integrity Appeals Committee
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member (preferably from Sprott or Science, but not required)
- Senate Graduate Student Appeal Committee
- 2 vacancies for faculty members, one preferably from Science or Engineering & Design
- Senate Review Committee
- 1 vacancy for faculty member on Senate to serve as Chair
- 1 vacancy for faculty member from Public & Global Affairs
- 1 vacancy for faculty member from Engineering & Design
- 1 vacancy for faculty member from Arts & Social Sciences
- 1 vacancy for faculty member from Science
Eligibility
Faculty committee positions are open to full-time faculty members at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor level. (Teaching stream faculty members are welcome to apply.) Deadline to apply is April 3.
