Call for Committee Nominations – Faculty members
The Carleton University Senate is calling for nominations for faculty members to serve on a variety of Senate Standing Committees for the 2026-27 academic year:
- Senate Executive Committee
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member on Senate
- Senate Committee on Curriculum Admissions and Studies Policy
- Note that this committee meets on Tuesday mornings, twice per month
- 1 vacancy for a member from Engineering & Design
- 1 vacancy for a member from Public & Global Affairs
- Senate Quality Assurance and Planning Committee
- Note that the committee meets on Thursday mornings, twice per month.
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Sprott
- 2 vacancies for faculty member from Public & Global Affairs
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Engineering & Design
- Senate Academic Governance Committee
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Science
- Senate Honorary Degrees Committee
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Sprott
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Science
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member from Public & Global Affairs
- Senate Academic Integrity Appeals Committee
- 2 vacancies for faculty members (preferably from Engineering & Design and Sprott, but not required)
- 1 vacancy for a faculty member to serve as Chair (must have experience with academic integrity cases)
- Senate Graduate Student Appeal Committee
- 2 vacancies for faculty members, one preferably from Science or Engineering & Design
- Senate Review Committee
- Vacancy for faculty member on Senate to serve as Chair
- Vacancy for faculty member from Public & Global Affairs
- Vacancy for faculty member from Engineering & Design
- Vacancy for faculty member from Arts & Social Sciences
- Vacancy for faculty member from Science
Eligibility
Faculty committee positions are open to full-time faculty members at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor level. (Teaching stream faculty members are welcome to apply.)
