Keystone Manufacturing Company, primarily a producer of wooden and steel toys, was founded in 1919 and began making projectors as early as 1933.

This particular projector is either a 16mm E-829 or 8mm E-889—the model number is unclear. Both models were produced between 1938 and 1943, according to Keystone’s toy catalogues.
