This year, faculty from our Linguistics (LING) and Applied Linguistics and Discourse Studies (ALDS) programs will be there alongside faculty from Modern Languages. Read more about what they have in store for you at the fair below.

Linguistics
What Does the Sound of Your Name Look Like?
Explore how linguists analyze speech, by recording your name and learning what each of its sounds look like on a waveform and spectrogram. These tools provide visual representations of speech signals and play an important role in psycholinguistics and understanding communication differences.
Drop by our table to learn more about our new Psycholinguistics and Communication Differences program!
