Philippe Bédard is a postdoctoral researcher in Film Studies at Carleton University, working on questions of empathy and embodiment in Virtual Reality experiences. His area of expertise concerns the relations between bodies, cameras, and spaces in film and moving image media at large. In addition to his dissertation on filmmaking techniques in relation to the body, Philippe has also published work on camera movement, GoPro cameras, Virtual Reality, screendance, and virtual production.
