A Film Friday Talk with Dr. Allison Whitney

Allison Whitney will share her research on the history of IMAX with a talk on the pivotal role of the Canadian Museum of History’s Cineplus theatre, from its conception as the first dual-screen IMAX cinema and its integration with Douglas Cardinal’s architectural design, to the museum’s leadership in documentary production, driving innovation in giant-screen historical reenactment and dramatic narrative.

Allison Whitney is a Fulbright Canada Distinguished Chair in Arts and Social Sciences in Canada and North America, Carleton University.
