Dr. M. Reid Horrigan and Dr. H.J. Stephany Noh will virtually join Prof. Kathy Morrow to discuss interviewing film and media industry professionals as an academic research methodology. All three scholars will share their relevant experiences and discuss best practices for preparing, conducting, and analyzing interviews.
Free and open to the public (if this is best, it could also just be for Carleton affiliated people, I don’t expect a lot of attendees beyond our grad students)
About our guests
H.J. Stephany Noh’s research draws on her decade of experience as a television industry practitioner, currently developing a book examining the transformation of South Korea’s television industry in the decade following the entry of global SVOD platforms.
M. Reid Horrigan is a grindset researcher whose ethnographic dissertation studied moviemaking as lifestyle in the waning days of the ‘Hollywood North’ Netflix boom, and whose current research extends twelve years’ experience making AI software agents for audio generation.
