Patrizia Gentile‘s book Queen of the Maple Leaf : Beauty Contests and Settler Femininity has been nominated for a 2021 Best Scholarly Book in Canadian History Prize, awarded by the Canadian Historical Association. Congratulations Professor Gentile!The prize is given to the non-fiction work of Canadian history that is deemed to have made the most significant contribution to our understanding of the Canadian past.
