Description of Research
My current research examines the intricate relationship between place and memory, focusing on how lost places never truly disappear, but are reimagined, reclaimed, and ultimately re-placed through memory. Using Brandon, Manitoba’s historic Prince Edward Hotel as a case study, I explore how the now-demolished hotel continues to linger in local memory, preserved through material remnants that lay scattered throughout the city.
