What is your favourite thing about the program?
The professors! The history professors I had at Carleton were so knowledgeable, approachable, and passionate. It made learning very engaging.
What will you miss the most?
I’ll miss the camaraderie and friendship of my peers!
What is your favourite reading/book/text from the program?
Many of the readings from the Political History of Pacific Canada seminar will stick with me, but a particularly memorable text is Timothy J. Stanley’s Contesting White Supremacy: School Segregation, Anti-Racism, and the Making of Chinese Canadians.
What’s next for you?
I will be returning to Carleton to begin the MA Public History program!
I will also continue working as a policy analyst at the Department of Canadian Heritage.
