Congratulations to M.A. Legal Studies candidate, Jean Ketterling, this year’s recipient of the Chet Mitchell Memorial Award in Law! The award was presented at the 12th Annual Carleton Graduate Legal Studies Association Conference, during FPA Research Month. Jean’s research is currently focused on how players understand violence in video games and the relationship between feminist debates on pornography and video games.

About the Award

Established in 1991 by colleagues, family, and friends in honour of the late Chet Mitchell, who was a professor in the Department of Law and Legal Studies. This award is given annually to a deserving student enrolled in the Master of Arts program in legal studies.
