- Interested, but not sure about going on exchange? Want to be matched with, and help welcome an incoming exchange student this semester to see what studying in another country is all about?
- A previous or returning exchange student who is interested in still being part of the international community on campus?
- Want to be matched with a buddy from another country to practice your language skills, tell stories from your past trip, and help welcome exchange students to Carleton?
- Going on exchange and want to prepare for what to expect in the country you will study in?
- Having prior knowledge of how to set up a bank account, cell phone plan, accommodation advice, and practice of language skills might prove useful.
Maple Mates is looking for applicants who wish to assist in enhancing the Carleton experience and Ottawa as a whole for incoming exchange students. Applications are now being processed and the matching will begin next week on a rolling basis. The deadline to apply for a buddy (aka Maple Mate) will end on February 20th 2018.
