Calling all 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students and 2nd year MA students in a Law & Legal Studies program! Are you looking to get more involved in our department AND develop your interpersonal and networking skills?
The Department of Law and Legal Studies is seeking student ambassadors for 2023/2024 to help with promotion, engagement and assistance at our departmental events.
Requirements
- 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student majoring in Law, or 2nd year MA student in Legal Studies.
- Be comfortable speaking with strangers, one-on-one or in a group setting
- Be resourceful; know where to find the answer to a question
- Excellent communication skills; written and spoken
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Experience with various social media platforms (i.e. Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin)
Duties include
- Representing the Department of Law and Legal Studies in a professional, welcoming and friendly manner at departmental events
- Participating in recruitment events (such at the Open House)
- Attending various talks and panel events hosted by the department to engage community
- Assisting the department’s communications coordinator with promotional activities including social media content creation and engaging in a “student experience” storytelling. Experience recording content for social media platforms would be an asset.
