On Monday November 11th, our department held a panel discussion in celebration of International Wrongful Conviction Day!
Hosted by Kelly Lauzon, a Contract Instructor and PhD Candidate in our department, we were joined by Pam Glatt, Director of Education of Innocence Canada, as well as Canadian exoneree Jamie Nelson, who shared his story of being wrongfully convicted of a fabricated crime that landed him in prison for 1047 days. The panelists were asked some great questions from the audience that sparked some insightful discussion.
Thank you to all who attended in person or on Zoom! And thank you to our panelists for joining us!
