PhD Student Jaime Snow Celebrates Recent Journal Publication
The Department of Law and Legal Studies is pleased to congratulate PhD student Jaime Snow on the publication of a journal article co-authored with Jennifer M. Kilty.
The article, “(En)gendering Risk and the Paradox of Carceral Inclusivity: Making Up Transgender Prisoners in Ontario Correctional Policy,” was published in Criminal Justice Policy Review and builds on Jaime’s MA thesis research.
The research examines how Ontario’s correctional policies characterize incarcerated transgender people as both vulnerable and potentially risky. It explores the tensions between care, inclusion, and institutional control within correctional institutions.
