Law and Legal Studies Ambassador Program 2025/2026

Calling all 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students and 2nd year MA students in a Law & Legal Studies program! Are you savvy in social media content creation and looking to get more involved in our department?
The Department of Law and Legal Studies is seeking student ambassadors for the 2025/2026 academic year to help with social media content creation, promotion & engagement. This is a volunteer position that students can include on their co-curricular record.
Requirements
- 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student majoring in Law, or 2nd year MA student in Legal Studies.
- Experience creating and sharing content on various social media platforms including, but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook & LinkedIn
- Be comfortable speaking with strangers, one-on-one or in a group setting
- Be resourceful; know where to find the answer to a question
- Excellent communication skills; written and spoken
- Demonstrated initiative and leadership qualities
Duties include
- Creating and sharing various types of social media content for the department’s social media accounts on relevant topics including (but not limited to) departmental events & activities, and general campus/student life.
- Assisting the department’s communications coordinator with promotional activities including social media content creation and engaging in a “student experience” storytelling.
- Representing the Department of Law and Legal Studies in a professional, welcoming and friendly manner at various in-person events.
- Participating in university events (such at the Open House) and various talks and panel events hosted by the department and interacting with the community (including current and prospective students, faculty and external guests)
We are accepting applications until Tuesday August 5th at 11:59 pm. This deadline is firm and late applications will not be accepted. Only ONE (1) application per person will be considered.
Successful applicants must be available upon request for an interview in mid-August (preferably in-person, on-campus).
