Barbara Stead-Coyle is well recognized as a leader in the not for profit field, with 20 year of experience in senior and executive positions.
In her current role as Director of Development with Doctors without Borders Canada, she leads a team of 50 raising $100M a year to support their social mission.
Previous role include, CEO of the National Gallery of Canada Foundation, CEO of Muscular Dystrophy Canada, National Vice President Annual Development with the Canadian Cancer Society.
Barbara holds a Bachelor and Masters Degree from McGill University and has continued her professional advancement at the University of Wisconsin, Madison School of Business, Institute of Philanthropy, St Mary’s University (Conflict Resolution, Mediation & Negotiation), Queen’s University (Leadership Program) and was one of fifty not-for-profit leaders selected to attend the CommunityShift Program at the Ivey School of Business, Western University.
Barbara has two daughters, Caroline and Marianne, and lives in Ottawa.
PhD Supervisor is Dr. Michael Christensen. Area of study in the impacts political economies of the charitable sector.
