Since graduating from the MA program in Political Science at Carleton in 2019, I have worked at Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa. I began working at the department in 2017 for my first placement in the MA co-op program, and have since had the chance to work with different teams on files related to trade and export promotion. I currently work with the same team I began with during my first placement, on files related to trade strategy and the trade portfolio of the Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development.
The MA program in Political Science at Carleton – specifically, opportunities from the co-op program – gave me the chance to begin my career in the Canadian public service.
