Assistant Professor

MA Political Science, 2009

Upon completing a master’s degree at Carleton, I continued with further master’s studies in social and political philosophy and the philosophy of religion, as well as doctoral studies in international political theory. I now hold a position as Assistant Professor of Religion in International Relations at the Centre for the Study of Religion, Leiden University (the Netherlands). I teach in a variety of bachelor’s and master’s programmes spanning my diverse research interests, including in humanities-based international studies and international relations programmes.

The MA in Political Science at Carleton afforded great flexibility in course selection, allowing me to pursue my interests in international politics from a variety of thematic, even disciplinary, angles. It thus provided an invaluable foundation for future studies and research that have unfolded at the nexus of several different academic fields.
