BA Political Science Concentration in Political Theory, 2013

The year was 2011. I had one credit left to graduate but the opportunity presented itself to go to Berlin and teach English. So, I decided to go to Berlin for one year and teach English. I graduated Carleton in 2013 with a BA in Political Science Concentration in Political Theory and Minor in German. After university I worked a couple of night shifts in my local fast-food restaurant. In 2016 I began my Master’s studies at the Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (EURUS) at Carleton University which I completed in 2018. The year which really transformed my life was 2019. That year I decided to run as municipal candidate for the Rideau-Rockcliffe by-election. In 2020 while working as a Legislative Assistant to a Conservative MP in the Parliament of Canada, I ran as the PC candidate for the 2020 Ottawa-Vanier by-election. In 2022 I reprised the role as PC candidate for Ontario general election. 2020 saw me become the Toronto area Regional Organizer (RO) for the Ontario PC Party. Today I am EA in the Ontario Government. Previous to that I was Stakeholder Relations Advisor in the Office of the Honourable Merrilee Fullerton Minister of Children, Community and Social Services.

Efficacy is the judgment one makes about one’s own ability to achieve. For me Carleton Political Science Department shaped the environment I now find myself in.
