Dr. Marie-Odile Junker and her team have developed a new dictionary app for the innu-aimun language spoken in Quebec and Labrador. This (2022) edition of the Innu dictionary (also available as a full online version on innu-aimun.ca) features Carleton Innu student Jérémie Ambroise as co-editor, alongside Dr. Marie-Odile Junker (SLaLS) and Dr. Marguerite MacKenzie (Memorial University). The app was developed at Carleton by Delasie Torkornoo, technical director of the Algonquian Dictionaries Project.
We thank the many testers from Institut Tshakapesh and elsewhere who helped finalize this long-awaited app.
