Congratulations to all Carleton students who made the trip to Toronto this past weekend to compete in Canada’s 17th Korean Speech Contest. This year’s event was the first “in person” contest since the start of the Pandemic and brought together contestants from universities and colleges across Canada. Representing Carleton were the three winners of the recent Carleton Korean Speech Contest: Afshan Shaikh, Indra Bold, and Kevin Cheung.
Congratulations to Afshan Shaikh on her first place finish in Toronto in the Intermediate category with a speech about Korean poet Yoon Dong-Ju.
And heartfelt gratitude to Carleton contract instructors HyounJeong Yoo, Dr. Soyoung Kang, and Seunghee Chung on making the trip to Toronto in support of their students.
