The 2nd Carleton Korean Speech Contest was successfully completed on Mar. 03. The Director of SLALS, Michael Rodgers, was present to give a speech. A total of 18 contestants participated in the contest and many more showed up to cheer them on and show support. The contest was followed by a Korean dinner and karaoke, with lots of laughter and dancing!
Listed below are the 3 winners, who will also compete in the nationwide Korean Speech Contest, to be held in the University of Toronto on Mar. 18.
1st place: Afshan Shaikh (intermediate)
2nd place: Indra Bold (beginner)
3rd place: Kevin Cheung (intermediate)
