A Visit to the German Ambassador’s Residence
Three weeks into their courses and Carleton students of German put their language skills to the test … and excelled!
Carleton students of German (and alumni) and their instructor Cristina Finger spent September 18 at the residence of His Excellency Matthias Lüttenberg, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Canada as participants in the relaunch of So German in Canada; an online resource promoting German language, culture, and events in Canada.
In addition to the official proceedings, the event featured German language teaching sessions, a presentation about the DAAD German exchange service offering bursaries and study opportunities in Germany, networking activities, graffiti art by Jordan Childs, and a mixology experience where attendees voted for their favourite cocktails or mocktails by Chef Trish.
They also look forward to the next “Musik in the Garden” event at the German Ambassador’s Residence on September 26. Register here if interested – no German language skills needed.
