Peggy Hartwick Receives Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award

Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) recently announced the list of 11 outstanding educators who received 2025 Carleton University Teaching Awards, and we are pleased to share that Professor Peggy Hartwick has received a Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award.

The Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award recognizes faculty and contract instructors dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarship of teaching, and the ongoing development of teaching.

Hartwick teaches primarily at the graduate level, and has many years of experience teaching English as an Academic Language and undergraduate-level courses in Applied Linguistics. Her course on second language acquisition and learning theories (ALDS 5302) was recently featured in a Digital Short produced by TLS.
