Course Spotlight: Language Policy and Planning
Discover how language planning influences language structure, use, beliefs, and social life in ALDS 5407S, our summer graduate course on Language Policy and Planning (LPP). This course offers an in-depth look at how communities, institutions, and governments shape linguistic futures.
Participants must also attend the international conference “Multidisciplinary Approaches in Language Policy and Planning: From Talk to Action” on June 17–19. Students will submit weekly reflections, deliver PowerPoint presentations based on empirical research in LPP, and write a critical, reflective report on conference presentations.
