In this hybrid workshop, faculty and students from SLaLS presented applications for language translation and learning and discussed their research approach, grounded in community-driven design, land-based learning, and technology sovereignty.

This project is supported by a larger partnership with the Office of the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages (OCIL) and aims at language and cultural revitalization using advanced technologies such as AI and VR. The presentations are now available on the project website.
