SLaLS Bucket List Contest

Students in the School of Linguistics and Language Studies are invited to participate in the SLaLS Bucket List Contest for a chance to win a $10 gift card for Rooster’s Coffeehouse. This contest closes at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 and prize winners will be notified shortly after.
How to Participate
- Download a copy of our SLaLS Bucket List or grab a printed version from 236 Paterson Hall during our office hours (8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays – Fridays). Note that the bucket list will be available by March 27, 2026.
- Complete items on the list for a chance to win a prize. For every three items you complete, earn one entry to the raffle. You can either print the form to check items off your list, or fill it out electronically.
- Bring your bucket list to 236 Paterson Hall or send it to SLALSUndergraduate@carleton.ca by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 to enter the contest.

If you already follow SLaLS on Instagram or are already a part of the SLaLS LinkedIn group, then you can check those items off your list as applicable. If you’re in the process of learning a new language (i.e., you’re currently taking language courses here at Carleton or you are learning a language through another means) or reading a book for fun (i.e., not an assigned reading), then you can go ahead and check those items off your list as applicable.
