Current Program: PhD in LING
Prior to entering the PhD program at Carleton in 2021, I spent seven years in the beautiful, cold, and linguistically diverse Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in northeastern Russia, where I taught English and other courses at North-Eastern Federal University. My current research focuses on the phonology of Sakha, a Turkic language that is spoken in that region. In the future I plan to combine my theoretical and applied linguistic interests and work on developing curricula and teaching materials for Sakha and/or other languages.
